If you want to be fluent in Thai language, start learning all the vocabulary you see/do daily.

ห้องนั่งเล่น hâwng nâng lên (room-sit-play)

ห้องนอน hâwng nawn (room-sleep)

ห้องน้ำ hâwng nám (room-water)

ห้องครัว hâwng krua (room-kitchen)

ห้องอ่านหนังสือ hâwng àan năng süue (room-read-book)

ห้องเก็บของ hâwng gèb kăwng (room-keep-stuff)

ทำงานบ้าน tam ngaan bâan (do-housework)

ทำกับข้าว tam gàb kâao (cook-dishes)

ทำอาหาร tam aa-hãan (cook food)

ล้างจาน láang jaan (wash-dishes)

กวาดบ้าน gwàad bâan (sweep-home)

ถูบ้าน tüu~ bâan (mop-home)

ซักผ้า sák pâa (wash-cloth)

ตากผ้า dtàak pâa (dry-cloth)

รีดผ้า ríid pâa (iron-cloth)

เทขยะ tay kà-yà (throw-garbage)

จัดบ้าน jàd bâan (organize/tidy up-home)

How to remember these domestic terms?

1) As you do your งานบ้าน ngaan-bâan (house work), think of these words in your mind and say them out loud too as you are doing it.

2) As you walk past these ห้อง hâwng (rooms) in the house, think of these words in your mind and say them out loud too.

Take these 2 things daily til you can name all the ห้อง hâwng in the house and all งานบ้าน ngaan-bâan activities fluently in Thai which means these words have become your active vocabulary.

Your language muscles need to built on physiological excercises.
