นะะกับเนอะต่างกันตรงไหน
“Ná” gàb “núr” dtàang gan dtrong nái?

(What’s the difference between “นะ” ná and “เนอะ” núr)

*นะ ná* is a acknowledgement seeking particle, something like “you know?”, “Ok?”, “Got it?”, “noted?”

เข้าใจนะ
Kâo-jai ná
(understand?)

อะไรนะ
À-rai ná
(what did you say?)

อย่าลืมกุญแจนะ
Yàa luuem gun-jae ná
(Don’t forget the keys, okay?)

Sometimes it is used to as a “highlighter” to reinforce emotional statements

รักนะ
Rák ná
(Love you, you know?)

คิดถึงนะ
Kíd-tüeng ná
(Miss you, you know?)

โกรธแล้วนะ
Gròot láeo ná
(Angry now, please take note.)

*เนอะ núr* is an agreement seeking particle.You want people to nod on what you say or show that he/she is agreeable to what you just mentioned.

Dii núr
(Nice, right?)

อร่อยเนอะ
À-ròy núr
(Yummy, right?)

ผู้หญิงคนนั้นสวยเนอะ

Pûu-yïng kon nán süay núr

(That lady is pretty, isn’t she?)

(That man is handsome, isn’t he?)
